Pitchfork review is all blurb. It sounds like ad copy.
"an album that oozes confidence from every pore."
"With their constantly evolving sonic identity, in-your-face vocal mannerisms, and open-ended ideas about what their music might "mean," Animal Collective seem designed to inspire obsessive fans and vociferous detractors in equal measure." (have you ever met an animal collective detractor? let alone a vociferous one? Seems to me like everybody accepts they are, like, the best band ever) + (putting 'mean' in quotes; ugh)

I actually love Merriweather and would say that it is BETTER than Strawberry Jam and Feels. My score = 9

i'd be a vociferous animal collective detractor, but i don't care to be a vociferous detractor of any sort. it sounds like it itches.
